Underground Energy utilizes unconventional underground solutions for recovery of energy resources

Using techniques proven in the heavy underground construction industry, Underground Energy applies underground construction methods including shafts, tunnels, horizontal drilling and other methods to recover stranded or previously non-recoverable oil and gas resources.

Underground Energy is a US corporation with the ability to identify and acquire large stranded hydrocarbon assets that can be recovered using an innovative and unique combination of underground construction and enhanced oil recovery technologies.  Our primary project focus is California, largely due to the amount of infrastructure already in place that is necessary to the recovery, transport and sale of oil.  This allows Underground Energy to bring projects on-line quickly and reduces associated production costs.  Underground Energy has the expertise to combine underground construction technology with thermal and other proven enhanced oil recovery methods to create an innovative solution to many previously unrecoverable hydrocarbon deposits which address the barriers to conventional recovery and unique characteristics of each reservoir deposit.  Through the acquisition of stranded hydrocarbon resources and the design and implementation of optimum recovery projects specific to each resource, Underground Energy has a competitive advantage in the upstream oil and gas industry that minimizes environmental impacts and maximizes production, yielding attractive returns on investment.
